A GREAT bike tour with leaders Simon, Jessica and Chris. Along with good biking, good food, and meeting new friends it was made extra special with the included additions such as private tours, an admission pass to most historic activities in Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We chose to attend a "witch trial", join a "ghost tour", listen to "Thomas Jefferson" discuss the social and political environment of his day with audience participation, and view the local militia march in review (complete with fife & drum fanfare and cannon salutes). The week was topped off with a special dining experience at "A Chef's Kitchen". Our accommodations were excellent and located in the heart of downtown Williamsburg.
Just finished a 7 day bike tour in the Green Mountains area of Vermont during the "Leaf Peeping" season, what a rush!! We were a group of 14 bikers of varying abilities but we all were given the best bike tour ever! The attention to details was assume from new well tuned bikes, fitted to each of us personally to great accommodations, fantastic food, fabulous routes and flexibility to go with the desires of the group. This was not our first time with these leaders and it won't be our last... sign up your group for next fall, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I just finished a fantastic week with Simon and his staff. They thought of everything. We have gone on many organized rides and this 1 rates at the top. I was invited to join a group from Oregon to tour the wonders of Vermont in the fall via Great Bike Tours. My experience was simple...FANTASTIC! The weather was knockout gorgeous, the tour organization was spot-on detailed, the equipment was excellent, the itinerary was ideal fitting the experience level of the group, the tour directors and daily guides allowed for variations in the schedule fitting the needs and desires of everyone on the tour. We had ample opportunities and flexibility to take advantage of the great riding and site seeing in the area. Each day we experienced a wide variety of geography and visuals. The attitude of Great Bike Tours was one of service to their clients. The accommodations, food, equipment, personalities, professionalism, and schedule of activities was only 'top notch'. I travel globally for my work where I have the experience of many 'tour' operations. I can say that Great Bike Tours was as good as any tour organization I have every experienced, anywhere. Money and time well spent! I look forward to the opportunity to take more tours in a variety of locations with this group.
Wow, off the charts !! The Great Bike Tour team lived up to their name during the February 2016 New Zealand trip. We had ridden with them before and we are so glad to have done another trip. The South Island is an amazing place and to see it by bike was an exceptional experience. Our group of 20 people had such a great time together and this was made possible because all of the important details we figured out well ahead of time and our focus was always on enjoying the beauty of New Zealand. Bravo!
